John W. Lujick, Sr., affectionately known as "Jack", age 92, of Fairfield, beloved husband of the late Dorothea Haux Lujick, who was the love of his life, entered into eternal life on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Born in Bridgeport to the late John and Mary Punyko Lujick, John proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy as a weatherman and shipboard accident photographer while serving on two aircraft carriers. Upon returning home from service, John worked as a salesman and general manager in the insulation business.

John was an avid golfer and also enjoyed boating and fishing, sports, movies, good food, many day trips, and was a TV News fan. He took great pleasure in electronics and photography, including developing his own film and was a radio control model builder.

John's memory will be lovingly remembered by his son, John W. Lujick, Jr., and his wife, Patricia; adored grandchildren, Jessica, Jason, and John Paul Lujick; his sister, Mary B. Horvath; his niece/Goddaughter, Marianne Horvath, and her husband Mark Morehouse; and his favorite dog breed and Miniature Schnauzer, Rudy.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. All other services will be held privately.
