Obituary of Rose Wilmot

Rose M. Wilmot, age 76, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late Joseph Wilmot, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

Born in Bridgeport, Rose earned her Associates Degree in Nursing and had worked as a nurse for many years in a variety of settings including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care. She was best known for her amazing sense of humor and immense love of her dogs. Rose took great pleasure in spending time with her family, especially her adored grandchildren and grand-dogs. She also enjoyed traveling, with her favorites being warm sandy beaches and casinos.

Rose's memory will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Patricia Lynch, and her husband, Sean, of Fairfield and Ann Santana, and her husband, Alex, of Shelton; her grandchildren, Kyle Joseph Jackson, Meara Rose Lynch, and Shane Patrick Lynch; grand dogs, London and Zeus; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Winnie Beitzel and Benjamin and Ludyn Beitzel; and several extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald Ellis Beitzel and Anna Lee Beitzel.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a service at 12:30 p.m.
