Obituary of Paul R. Foley

Please share a memory of Paul to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Paul Richard Foley, age 71, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 25th after a long illness.

Paul was born in New York, NY on May 8, 1952. He was raised in Scarsdale, NY and was the devoted son of John Edward and Beverly Anne Foley. Mr. Foley was a graduate of Scarsdale High School and Boston College.

After graduating from Boston College, Paul pursued a career in business management and information technology. He held positions at Manhattanville College, Reader's Digest, and Gartner Corporation.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Holly; and children, Paul J. Foley, and wife, Maggie, of Monroe, Sean E. Dadsetan – Foley, and wife, Elika, of Duxbury, MA, Cara Mastrilli, and husband, Alex, of Dedham, MA and Katherine Foley, of Fairfield.

Mr. Foley also leaves four grandchildren, Connor Foley, Maeve Foley, Brooks Mastrilli, and Layla Mastrilli.

Paul was an avid sports fan and passionate golfer. His love for sports began at Scarsdale High School where he played quarterback on the football team. Over the years, he continued to support the SHS football program through fundraising, alumni events and remained close friends with his coaches and teammates. Paul also loved the game of golf and played for many years with friends, family and business colleagues. One of his many life's pleasures was coaching his children's sports teams and attending games over the years. He encouraged his children to experience being a part of a team and the importance of sportsmanship.

Paul also loved to plan vacations, travel and spend time by the ocean, either it be with family in Florida or Cape Cod. He often spoke of his adventures with family deep sea fishing trips in Cape Cod. The memories always brought him laughter and joy.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM directly at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield, CT. All other services will be held privately.
