Raymond J. Majsa, 83, passed away on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023.
Raymond leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Janice Tomaskovic Majsa, his Son & daughter-in-law, Ronald & Cindy Majsa of Oxford, CT, his Daughter & son-in-law, Sharyn & Steven Businelli of Waterbury, CT, His Grandson Matthew Majsa & fiancé Tia Barrier of Naugatuck, CT, his Granddaughter & grandson-in-law Mallory & Jay Simms of Union City, NJ, and his Granddaughter Jamie Businelli of Waterbury, CT.
Raymond is predeceased by his parents, Julius & Mary Majsa.
Although Raymond had no siblings, he treasured his friends like family. Raymond spent several years in the Army. After being discharged, he went on to work for Bunker Ramo and Honeywell. Raymond also worked part-time for both Lesko Funeral Home & Luz De Paz Funeral Home. Ray served as Treasurer for the Saint Emery Holy Name Society as well as a Lector for Saint Emery Parish in Fairfield. He was a life-long devoted Yankee fan and an avid UConn Men's and Women's Basketball Team fan.
Calling Hours for Ray will take place Wednesday, October 25th, 4-7 p.m. at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Ray's Mass of Christian burial will occur at 10 am, Thursday, October 26th, Directly at Saint Mark's Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford. His burial with military honor will immediately follow in Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.
