Priscilla & Dan were a remarkably impressive pair in recruiting professors and other expert instructors for Lifelong Learners at Bigelow Center for Senior Activities in Fairfield. They also encouraged us to launch scholarships for Fairfield high school graduates to go to Fairfield University, and well as scholarships for both Ward High School and Ludlowe High school graduates to go to other colleges in Connecticut. As my vice president of Lifelong Learners, I relied heavily on Priscilla's creativity and acumen. She and Dan became close friends over the many years we worked together. On behalf of our Lifelong Learners board, and all of our
enthusiastic attendees, we are sorrowful that Priscilla is no longer with us, and know that we and her beloved husband Dan will miss her so very much. With love and sorrow, Patricia Sabena, Chair, Lifelong Learners and all of our board members who admired her so much. Rest in Peace, Priscilla. See you on the other side.

I know how cliché it is to say that you can’t find the words to express how you feel. But nonetheless, I really don’t know how to express how grateful I am in words to who I knew as Mrs. Crossin who then became of course, Dr. Crossin, and then Dr. Christianson and his heart as I tried I could never just call her Pricilla. She was my sixth grade teacher, and in many ways, my emergency mother. She was there for me at very tough times in my childhood. She always went the extra mile.… Generous with her time, patient, loving and endlessly supportive. Not to mention such a fantastic teacher! She definitely found her calling and we are all much, the better for it. I always stayed in touch and have visited her almost every year since 1975. My Holmes School visits soon became Middlesex junior high school visits. And then just visits to meet for lunch somewhere in Fairfield county. I loved her like a family member, and I always will. I wrote a card to her maybe two weeks ago and I pray that she received it. That someone was able to read it to her. Either way, I know she knows how I Feel, and how much she means to me, which gives me much solace. My heart is broken for myself, but mostly for you…her beloved family. Thank you for sharing her with all of us…her students. I know for a fact, I’m not the only one who feels this way about Pricilla. There are countless others who will always remember her in the same spirit that I do and would say that she had always been their “favorite“. There will be a huge hole for me whenever I go home. It will never be the same.
You are forever in my heart and soul.
Rest in peace, my darling, beloved friend. In eternal gratitude and love, Laura
