Obituary of Jean Hall

Jean (Lazowsky) Hall, age 88, a lifetime resident of Fairfield, passed away on January 2, 2024, with her beloved daughter, Michele, and brother, Bill at her side, surrounded by the beautiful lights of Christmas at her brother Bill's home in Fairfield. Jean was a strong, independent, hardworking woman and a gifted artist. An avid reader, she loved the history of Abe Lincoln as well as nature walks and gardening. Trips to Art museums, Broadway shows, concerts, outdoor events, and watching Andre Rieu concerts brought her great joy. Jean studied Art, receiving scholarships to Silvermine College, Norwalk, CT, for four years, Texas Western College, and the University of Bridgeport. Her beautiful artwork spanned many Mediums, including Oils, Watercolors, Pastels, etc., as well as ceramics and sculpture. She won several art show awards. More than 75 of her sought-after originals hang in private collections. Professionally she worked in the Art Dept. of Sikorsky Aircraft, at a Fairfield County Advertising Agency, and was employed as an Elementary Art teacher. In her later years, Jean became a caregiver to many families. Jean is predeceased by her sister, Olga Bouchard, and Granddog, "Chloe", and survived by her daughter, Michele Hall (Fairfield), and her brothers, John Lazowsky (Milford) and William Lazowsky (Fairfield), several nieces and nephews and Grandcat, "Squeaky". Friends and family are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM, Friday, January 12th, 2024, at St. Joseph's of Stratford, 1300 Stratford Rd., Stratford, CT (officiated by Fr.
