Obituary of Patricia Ann Almeida

Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Patricia "Patty" Almeida, a beacon of love, kindness, and service to others, began her journey in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on July 7th, 1955. Raised by her nurturing parents, Lila "Pinky" and Dominick Mastrianno, alongside her younger brother, Michael, Patty's childhood was adorned with simple joys that shaped her caring spirit. She pursued higher education at Housatonic College, where she earned an Associate's degree, laying the foundation for her impactful career and compassionate nature.

Patty dedicated 30 years of her life to the YMCA, initially in Bridgeport, where she cherished the camaraderie of its members. In 1977, she welcomed her first daughter, Marisa, followed by another daughter, Vanessa, in 1983, pouring her heart into motherhood. Her unwavering love
for her children defined her life. Concluding her professional journey in the corporate division of the YMCA in New Haven, Patty retired at the age of 62, embracing the retired life with zest. Her love for the beach, wineries, and dancing, accompanied by her deep passion for music, brought
her joy in these golden years.

Patty's infectious laugh, reminiscent of her beloved mother, Pinky, will resonate in the hearts of those who knew her. Predeceased by Pinky, Patty's memory lives on through her father, Dom, her brother, Michael, her cherished children, Marisa and her son-in-law Chris, her daughter
Vanessa, and her fiancé Jeff. Her memory is also cherished by numerous close cousins and dear friends, who were her chosen family.

A memorial celebrating Patty's life will take place on April 14th at 2:00 PM at the Covenant Church of Easton, 1 Sport Hill Road, Easton, CT, where her life and legacy will be honored.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Patty’s name to Camp Hi-Rock. (YMCA Camp Hi-Rock 544 East Street Mount Washington, MA 01258) These donations will go towards establishing a fund that will enable children to attend. May God bless the memory of Patty Ann Almeida.

Rest in peace.
