Uncle Gary was more like an older brother than an uncle. We spent many a Friday night on his deck or in his back tv room watching sports or listening to music. But more memorable were the conversations and laughs we shared. His sense of humor was priceless and many a night he had me in tears from laughing so hard. Don’t get me started on the arguments between him and his friend Wayne on who was better, Elvis or the Beatles. Good thing for us that the walls in that room can’t talk! I take comfort now in picturing him hoisting a Coors Light in Heaven’s bar with my dad and grandfather, while they listen to Mickey Mantle tell stories of the glory days while Elvis sings on the stool next to them. See you on the other side, Unka G!!

I would like to share a Memory of “Gary” when I was golfing with him several years ago. It was my turn to tee-off. I teed up my ball and got into my stance. At the top of my backswing I felt a little wobble in my club. I swung away and made contact. The ball traveled about 50yds and the club head of my 3 wood traveled about 10yds both straight down the middle of the fairway. “Gary” could not stop laughing! For the rest of the day when we looked at each other we broke out laughing! I will miss my friend “Gary,” but I will not forget the Good Times that we spent together.
