Words that come to mind to describe John—
Kind, patient, generous, selfless. Giving was ingrained in him.
Solid and trustworthy. Can’t imagine his ever lying.
Dogged and smart. Went at a drawer that was jammed irreparably and focused on it til he delivered a miracle.
Settled and sincere. Anything you might run by him would get a rational and just solution with little deliberation.
And, like all my Hungarian relatives, I never saw him display anger.
They say dogs are the best judges of character. Just ask Peanut.

Randy and I are so sorry for your loss. John was a true gentleman and so much fun to be around. It was a pleasure knowing John and spending time with John. Conversations were endless, full of laughs, while time slipped by so quickly. Adventures with John were so much fun. Hungarian Festivals, his beloved fire house cookouts, sitting on the beach at the American Legion, smoking the afternoon cigar with Randy and watching John’s favorite singer (Rod Stewart) at Biagettis was always a summer must. Traveling to Fairfield to locate Gyspy Spring and to hear Johns gyspy story always make the four of us remember our Hungarian roots and plenty of laughs. Until we meet again John enjoy the hunkie music and fun with all the Hungarians. It is now time to share you so many others who awaited your arrival. Our loss is heavens gain.

My loving companion John was the most kind and generous man. Peanut and Chaz and I went to the beach with him every day, rain or shine. We met seven years ago and spent every day together since then. We both enjoyed the theater and went to many Broadway musicals. He was a fabulous cook and we enjoyed his culinary creations practically every night.
When I got Peanut two years ago, it was love at first sight, and he took her to his house every afternoon. She was his "girl." God blessed me when he came into my life. I hope he is watching over us from Heaven and will help us with our grief. We will never forget him.
