Cynthia Jo "Cindy" Lutson Carriero, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the age of 68. Born in Bridgeport on June 8, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Muriel Willever and Martin Lutson.
In addition to her loving husband, James, Cindy will be sadly missed by her son, Matthew, of Trumbull; sister, Susan Brown, of Naugatuck; nephews, Andrew Erdos and Matthew Erdos, and Daniel Prendergast; and many friends. Cindy was predeceased by her son, Nicholas; and a sister, Carol Altarelli.
Cindy lived most of her life in Bridgeport, moving to Milford then Trumbull. Above all, Cindy was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. Cindy worked in various nursing positions in Bridgeport Hospital for 38 years. She initially started as an LPN and pursued becoming a Registered Nurse. She spent her early career in the operating room training new hires, and the remainder of her career in the delivery room, assisting in the delivery of babies and also working the newborn unit. Cindy will be sorely missed as a co-worker. Her dedication to excellent patient care made her a valuable employee, mentor, and friend.
Cindy was a kind hearted soul who will have a lasting impact upon everyone she knew. Cindy loved gardening, camping, and vacationing, especially in Hawaii. She also had a fondness for the theater and loved the Christmas Season and visiting the "Christmas Spectacular" in New York City. Cindy was also very religious attending Golden Hill United Methodist Church.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. in the Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. directly at Golden Hill United Methodist Church, 210 Elm Street, in Bridgeport. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport.
