Huỳnh Thị Hường (Pauline Đỗ), a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024, in Fairfield, Connecticut. Leading up to her passing, she was surrounded by loving her sisters, children, and grandchildren.
Born in Gò Công, Vietnam, Pauline was a devoted and loving wife to her late husband, Trang Đỗ. She was a mother to Lanchi (daughter), Khoa (son), and David (son), as well as her son-in-law, Tan Ly, and daughters-in-law, Tiffany and Terry. She was a proud grandmother to Kevin, Justin, Caroline, and Isabelle, whose lives she touched with boundless love and wisdom.
Pauline's professional journey began with her graduation from Cán Sự Điều Dưỡng Nursing School in Saigon, Vietnam. She excelled as a professor of nursing and later as a clinical coordinator at Chợ Rẫy Hospital. Her commitment to the field of nursing was a testament to her passion for helping others. After immigrating to the United States in 1985, Pauline continued her career at Perkin Elmer in Norwalk, CT, where her expertise and dedication were greatly valued. Her involvement in the Buddhist Temple reflected her spiritual commitment and desire to give back to the community.
Calling hours will be held in his honor on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Lesko Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, Fairfield, CT, 06824. Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Pauline’s legacy.
Pauline's life of kindness, intelligence, and dedication will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her unwavering strength and loving spirit.
