Obituary of Mary Rigea

Mary Rigea, 96, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, September 4th, 2024. Born in Albania, Mary came with her family to the United States and resided in the west end of Bridgeport. Mary later moved to Fairfield, where she spent nearly 40 years. Mary Graduated from Bassick High School and worked as an assembler at Casco until her retirement. She was a devoted daughter and sister and a caregiver to her family. Mary was a devout member of Saint Dimitrie Church. Mary is survived by her dear friend William Petitte and his partner Edgar of Fairfield. She is Predeceased by her father, Dimitrie Rigea; her mother, Athena Adam Rigea; her brother, John Rigea; and her sister, Elizabeth Metsopoulos. Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 9th, at 11 a.m., directly at St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church, 504 Sport Hill Road, Easton. Her burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Saint Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church.
