Obituary of Irene Baksay

Irene Baksay, 101, of Shelton, passed away Tuesday, September 17th, 2024.

Irene was born in Bridgeport in 1922. She worked as a secretary for General Electric and retired after 42 years and 2 months of service.

Irene was survived by her nephews, Timothy Csanadi and his wife Joy of Rhode Island, Randolph Csanadi of Texas, Allen Csanadi of Texas, and Gary Csanadi of Newtown, CT, and their families.

Irene was predeceased by her sister Margaret Csanadi, her sister Elizabeth Haydu, her brother Louis Baksay, and her brother John Baksay.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff, nurses, RCAs, and dining room staff at the Benchmark at Split Rock for their outstanding care.

All services for Irene will be held privately, In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to be made to the Shelton Senior Center, 81 Wheeler Street, Shelton, CT 06484
