Obituary of Piero Torri

Piero Torri, age 76, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Fiorella DeCarli Torri, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Piero was born and raised in Rome, Italy, son of the late Domenico Torri and Annunziata Tedeschi Torri and emigrated to the United States and Bridgeport where he lived for nearly forty years. While in Italy he served in the Italian Army. He worked mainly as a self employed welder. Piero was an avid soccer fan and was a great fan of Italy's Lazio Professional Soccer team. More than anything he loved the times that he spent with his family. A loving husband, father nd grandfather, he will be sadly missed. In addition to his loving wife Fiorella, survivors include his sons, Danilo Torri of Trumbull, Stefano Torri and his wife Michelle of Seymour, Marco Torri and his wife Ann of Seymour and Massimiliano ( Max ) Torri and his wife Marla of Stratford. He leaves behind his precious grandchildren Alessandro and Sabrina Torri, Steffano Piero Torri and Anthony and Tamara Torri, Isabella Torri and Alexis, Emma and Luca Torri as well as several nieces and nephews. He weas predeceased by his brother Stefano and sisters Valeria Coloraffi and Errica Nozzi.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12:30 pm directly at St. Andrew Church, Anton St., Bridgeport. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
