Obituary of Sotir Stilu

Sotir Stilu, age 37, of Trumbull, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017. Born on June 11, 1979 in Bucharest, Romania, son of Tanase and Veronica Cipu Stilu, Sotir came to the United States as a child with his parents and had been a Trumbull Town resident for over 25 years. He graduated Trumbull High School, Class of 1996 and later went on to work as a sports agent for the Pro Sports Promotions Co. of New York City. Sotir was a devoted member of St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church where he was an Acolyte and server. He enjoyed all sports, playing both football and soccer for Trumbull High. His hobby was cars and he especially liked his Porsche. He will be lovingly remembered as a young man who lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents Tanase and Veronica, Sotir leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins both in the US and Romania. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am DIRECTLY at St. Dimitrie Romanian Orthodox Church, 504 Sport Hill Rd., Easton with burial to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with the Trisagion Service at 6:30 pm.
