Obituary of Irene Bolick
Please share a memory of Irene to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Irene (Pearl) Lindsey Bolick, age 92, of Fairfield, wife of the late Michael John Bolick, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2020.
Born in Scranton, PA, Irene came to Connecticut in 1944, where she lived for over 75 years. During WWII, Irene worked as an inspector for the Remington Rand Corporation. Later, she worked along with her husband Mike for the family businesses: Bolick's Beardsley Chevron and Bolick's Auto Repair. Irene was an avid reader and environmentalist and was recycling ahead of her time.
Irene also enjoyed singing and telling stories about her childhood; and more than anything, she cherished the times spent with her family. This was not surprising since she grew up in a large family. Irene's sisters included Elwilda, Wilma, Dorothy, Hilda, Cynthia, and Ruth. Brothers were Leon, Ralph, and Fred.
Irene is survived by her daughters, Sharon E. Lizon and Pamela H. Trickey; and sons, Donald M. Bolick and Michael P. Bolick and Michael's wife, Lynn M. Bolick. Irene is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael T. Bolick and his wife, Christina Bolick, Caylin Q. Trickey, and Alexander M. Trickey; and great granddaughter, Isabella C. Mingrino. Irene was predeceased by her granddaughter, Janelle C. Staffieri, grandson, Edward J. Staffieri, daughter-in-law Robin A. Bolick, and sons-in-law Robert F. Lizon and Jason C. Trickey.
Friends may call to pay respects on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. A private service and burial is to follow.
