Obituary of Robert J. Patenaude

Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert Patenaude, age 89, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Silvey Champion Patenaude, entered into eternal life on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Born in Quebec, Canada, Robert moved to Bridgeport, where he lived most of his life. He installed roofing and siding for LA Barnaby & Sons for many years before retiring. A devout Catholic, Robert and his wife, Silvey, were parishioners at Holy Name of Jesus Church. Robert was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching westerns, listening to country music, and bowling. A man with a heart of pure gold, Robert's smile and laughter could fill a room and made everyone and anyone feel welcomed. You couldn't be around Robert without smiling. He will be missed greatly. In addition to his loving wife of 65 years, Silvey, Robert's memory will be lovingly remembered by his siblings, Raymond Patenaude, of Connecticut and Alfred Patenaude, of Florida; and countless nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by five siblings, Rose Madore, Alice Nadeau, Juliette Oullette, Anthony Patenaude, and Alphonse Patenaude. Funeral services will be held privately. Robert absolutely adored children, so in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Robert's name may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or visit www.stjude.org/donate
