Obituary of Margaret Dicso Kaminski

Margaret Dicso Virag Kaminski, age 95, of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, wife of the late Raymond Kaminski, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. Born in Bridgeport on August 10, 1925, daughter of the late Gustave and Pearl Levy Dicso, Margaret was a lifelong Bridgeport resident. She was a graduate of the old Roger Ludlowe High School, graduating with the "Class of 1943". She had worked for the Bridgeport Metal Goods Co. as a Forelady and financial secretary for the Local Union 237 for many years until her retirement. Margaret was a lifelong and very dedicated member of the Calvin United Church of Christ where she served as an officer in every church organization, the mission guild treasurer, the Church treasurer for 25 years, a member of the Church consistory, she taught Sunday School and sang in the Church choir. In her retirement, Margaret enjoyed watching soap operas and liked the times that she spent with the Black Rock Seniors and the Bessemer Seniors groups. More than anything, Margaret loved the times that she spent with her family. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret ( Virag ) Smeraglino of Bridgeport and Irene ( Virag ) Aronson and her husband Harvey of Long Island, one cherished grandson, Michael Smeraglino and his wife Lauren, three great-grandchildren, Dominic, Juliana, and Gabriella as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Pearl Kish Maraczi, Elizabeth Sefcik and Irene Kozlowski. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am directly at the Calvin United Church of Christ, 901 Kings Hwy, Fairfield with the Rev. Tibor Kiraly officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 3-6 pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center.
