Obituary of Frances Hart
Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Frances Stokes Hart, age 79, of Naugatuck, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 15, 2020.
Born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late John and Lena Schneider Stokes, Frances grew up in Fairfield, then moved to Monroe and then to Naugatuck three years ago. She had worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years, most recently at the Pain Center at Griffin Hospital.
In her younger years, Frances loved long hikes, enjoyed bird watching and collecting various bird figures from around the world. She liked ocean cruises, sunsets, watching the deer in her back yard and the occasional trip to the casino. More than anything, Frances loved the times that she spent with her grandchildren. A loving mother and grandmother will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughters, her caregiver, Joan Hart, of Naugatuck, Dianne Hart, of Middletown, and Janet Searles, and her husband, John, of Prospect. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Summer and Starr D'Amato and John, Kyle, and Jason Searles; a brother-in-law, Bob Ladd; as well as many nieces, nephews and her lifelong friends, Katherine, Shirley and Evelyn. She was predeceased by her brothers, William, Robert, George, and Donald Stokes; and sisters, Ann Ladd, Jean Johnson and Ruth Zavaglia.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center with burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
