Obituary of Meri-Beth Lubas

Meri-Beth Hubai Lubas, age 77, of Shelton, wife of the late Joseph John Lubas Jr, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from complications due to Covid-19. Born in Easton, daughter of the late Paul and Mildred Soledi Hubai, Mrs. Lubas had lived in Bridgeport and Stratford for most of her life before moving to Shelton several years ago. The most important part of her life was the love and pride that she had for her children and grandchildren. Meri-Beth is predeceased by a son, baby boy Lubas, who passed shortly after his birth. She leaves behind two sons, Scott Lubas, of TN and Joseph Lubas, of Stratford; and her daughter, Lorene Canales, of Shelton. Meri-Beth also leaves behind her precious granddaughters, Jalene Beth Canales and Kaileigh Lubas; brothers, Paul Hubai and David Hubai; a sister, Darleen Hubai and their families. She also leaves behind her best buddy and Granddog, Bently. Funeral services were held privately in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
