Julianna Olah Egervari, age 88, of Southbury, wife of the late Dr. Gyula Egervari Sr., passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021. Born in Nagyszalonta, Hungary, on August 11, 1932, daughter of the late Laszlo and Erzsebet Olah, Julianna escaped to Austria in 1956 and emigrated to the United States in 1958. Julianna loved caring for her family; she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed. Julianna is survived by a sister Maria Sumeg of Hungary, daughters Emoke Samson of Englewood, Florida, Maria Pergely and her husband Janos of Monroe, son Gyula Egervari and his wife Amber of Fairfield; grandchildren Laszlo Tromler, Kalman Tromler (deceased), Maria Harlan, Julianna Honea, Janos J. Pergely and Caroline and Zander Egervari. She leaves behind great-grandchildren Ariele, Alex, Dominik, Vincent, Emma, Erika and a great-great-grandson River, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Imre Olah, and sisters Erzsebet Hermann and Piroska Wargha. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 19 at 11 am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center with burial to follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, Fairfield.
