Obituary of Edward Contolini

Edward Contolini, age 88, beloved husband to the late Frances Zima Contolini, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2017 in Connecticut Hospice. Born and raised in Bridgeport, Edward was a resident of Fairfield for 67 years. He was a retired Union carpenter, building and renovating numerous homes and structures throughout this region. He worked hard throughout his life to provide for his wife and family, and proudly cared for his house, always finding ways to improve his family's home. A devout Catholic, he was a parishioner of Assumption Church in Fairfield, and formerly a parishioner of St. Pius X. Edward will be remembered by his son, Richard Contolini and his wife, Wanda, of Norwalk; daughter, Susan (Contolini) Manke and her husband, Edmund, of Shelton; four grandchildren, Jessi and Greg Contolini, of Norwalk, Krysten and Stephen Manke of Shelton; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his devoted wife Frances, he was predeceased by his siblings, John Contolini, Yolanda Duffy, Mary Muller, and Mario Contolini. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12th at 11 am in Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Road, Fairfield, followed by a private interment in Lawncroft Cemetery.
