Stella Stopa Lee, age 96, of Fairfield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017. Stella was born in Bridgeport, January 27, 1921, daughter of the late John and Julia Micha Stopa and was a Bridgeport resident for most of her life before moving to Fairfield. She had worked for the Wiretex Co. of Fairfield for over 35 years until her retirement. Stella was an avid reader, enjoying one book a day, she liked walking along the beach and especially loved the times that she spent with her family. She is survived by her sons, Robert Lee of Trumbull and Frank ( Butch ) Lee and his wife Kathleen of Easton, a sister Agnes Graceski of Fairfield, her devoted and loving granddaughter Dawn Costello as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a great-great grandson, Anthony as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Frank, Joseph and Louis Stopa. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM directly at Holy Family Church, Stratfield Rd., Fairfield with burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital. Arrangements in the care of the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home.
