Obituary of Abigail N. Lafreniere

Abigail Noemi Lafreniere, age 31, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Pastor John Lafreniere and devoted mother of Elijah James Lafreniere. Abby was healed from ALS on February 24, 2017 at 11:35 AM. Her first steps in two years were on the golden street of Heaven as she entered into her Savior's arms. Born in Danbury to Dr. Tobias and Sarah Patterson Castro, Abby received a degree in teaching secondary education and was the Pastor's wife of Fairfield Baptist Church. In addition to her loving parents, husband, and son, Abby's memory will lovingly be remembered by three sisters, Reina Mejia, of Everett, MA; Sarah Ivey, and her husband, James, of Hillsborough, NC and Esther Stock, and her husband, Pastor Joshua, of Dayton, TN; nieces and nephews, Erik, Jonathan, and Javier Mejia; Michael, Jesse, Stephen, Susanna, Andrew, Julianna Ivey and Zechariah and Thaddeus Stock; and several aunts and uncles. Abby was the granddaughter of the late Dr. Harold and Carlotta Ogburn Patterson of Redding. Friends may greet the family on Thursday March, 2, 2017 from 4-8 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will be on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
