Obituary of Jean Kermode Behn

Jean Kermode Behn, age 87, devoted wife of the late Roy Behn, of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2017. Jean will be lovingly remembered by her family including three sons and their spouses, Thomas and Dorie Behn of Sarasota, FL, Richard and Libby Behn of Hawaii, David and Kelly Behn of Hawaii; grandchildren, Justin Behn and his fiance' Tiffany, Ryan Behn, Shane Behn; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his beloved husband Roy, she was predeceased by her grandson, Kevin Behn and brother Edward Kermode. A lifelong resident of Black Rock, Jean loved her family and community. A dedicated parishioner of Saint Ann Church, Jean regularly volunteered for both school and church activities, as well as, with the Black Rock Little League and Saint Vincent's Medical Center. She was a retired secretary for L & B Tire Exchange. Among her many life passions was to spend time with her family, especially when in Hawaii. The Behn family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Cambridge Manor for the excellent care given to Jean over her eight year stay. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7 PM in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center, with a prayer service officiated by Father Peter Lynch at 630 PM.
