Steve Tkalecz Jr, age 97 of Fairfield, husband of the late Mary Maksymiw Tkalecz, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Born in Bridgeport, son of the late Stephen and Theresa Tkalecz, Steve had been a lifelong Fairfield Town resident. He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Air Corps. He worked for most of his life as a machinist and went on to own the General Tool Co. from which he retired. Steve was a lifelong parishoner of Holy Cross Church, he enjoyed working on his antique automobiles, boating in Long Island Sound and especially loved the times that he spent with his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Dyer and her husband Paul of Fairfield and his precious grandchildren Heather Dyer, Kelly Dyer and Kim Blackmon. He was predeceased by his son Daniel Tkalecz and granddaughter Dawn Michelle Tkalecz. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8 at 11 am directly at Holy Cross Church, 750 Tahmore Dr., Fairfield. Burial to follow in Lawncroft Cemetery with full Military Honors.
