Obituary of Stephen F. Siksay
Stephen F. Siksay, age 74, of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Vivian Toma Siksay, entered into eternal life on Monday, July 10, 2017. A lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Stephen was a United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean War and the Vietnam Crisis from 1964-1966. He was a welder for nine years, and then became a guard supervisor at General Electric for 31 years before his retirement. A devout Catholic, Stephen was a parishioner of St. Ann Church, where he was an usher, a member of the VFW Post 74 in Fairfield, the Knights of Columbus Father Coleman Council, and the Monsignor Blake Assembly. Stephen is survived by several nieces and nephews, including; Robert Siksay, Arthur and Andy Siksay, Chris Hoyt, and his wife, Judy, of Bridgeport, Eileen Toth, of Bridgeport, Sue Racz, and her husband, Dan, of Bridgeport, Harvey Hawksley, Stephen and Roxann Hawksley, and George Hawksley; a brother-in-law, Stephen Toma, and his wife, Jill, of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Sally Siksay; and several great nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 481 Brewster Street, Bridgeport. Interment will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery.
