Julian, my dear American father, I've always loved you, admired you, and appreciated your kind advice. I will miss you terribly, but your voice still resonates in me, for ever! I do hope I've learned everything you've tried to teach me, being kind, fair, and listening to people! You also taught me how to drive, with a soft voice...
And later on, how to navigate during some hard times, especially with the model you set with keeping your dear Nancy as comfortable as possible at home. To your own risk, it is really hard for the caretaker, even though you had the help of Lisa, Sandy, and Carol? My sisters and bros, am so sorry for your, our loss. May the celebration of his life take precedence over the grief. Yea, easy to say, but will try, instead of crying at incongruous moments. Bon courage a tous! Annick joins me. Love to all of you, and to Nancy of course, who probably doesn't remember us. Am so grateful to you all!

Dear Julian
We remember you as a nice and caring person and will never forget what you have done for us.
You were more than a friend to us.
During our stay in the states (almost 40 years ago) we were always welcome as part of your family. Even in the years after we returned to Belgium, you kept treating us as family.
Julian, you were like the American father to us and you always took care of us during our visits.
We will pray for you and your family

Julian,
you will be missed. Our kids still remember you when we visited you some 5 years ago. Your gift (a cork trivet) has since then a reserved place in our library.
We would like to thank you for your friendship, generosity, good humour and way of thinking. May you rest in peace.
To the family we wish them all the best in these difficult times. We hope to see you soon again.
Warm regards
Yves, Sophie, Eryn and Cate

Dear Tucker and family,
I was very sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Sohon. He was such a nice man. I remember when I got the job at Cotter, Cotter & Sohon, people telling me how Mr. Sohon was "the salt of the earth". I was so looking forward to meeting him. Unfortunately, he had already retired by the time I started. I did meet him at different times, and he was always so friendly and nice. It's wonderful to have lived a life that had such meaning and that leaves such a wonderful legacy. May God bless his soul and grant all of you comfort at this sad time. Sincerely, Olga.

Dear Sohon Family,
Words do not express my sorrow in the loss of your father. My memory of him will remain for a lifetime. His kindness towards me on the day I had a car accident on the way to your home was something I have never forgotten. I had never experienced such compassion, gentleness and love before, and have never since.
How blessed you all were to have him as your Dad. May the Lord carry you all through this valley of loss. I will keep you all in my prayers.
Respectfully,
Lisa

In the short time I have known Julian , I learned a lot about his love for his family and how proud he was of all his children. In our ride to DaVita Dialysis Center on Tuesday’s he spoke of them often. He showed interest in me and my family. He had many kind words and rememberizes of Father John P. Baran. For me he was a very interesting person to talk with sharing his many life experiences. I will miss him. He truly was a very special person. My God bless him and his wonderful family. Dave
