Ronald Daniel Dobson, of Fairfield, passed away on January 19th after a short illness. He was 82. Raised in New York City, a former seminarian, he was very active in the Egan Chapel at Fairfield University. He taught Latin to future physicians and attorneys at Westbury Senior High School on Long Island, spanning 50 years. He loved golf, crossword puzzles, reading the paper and most of all spending time with family. He is predeceased by his parents, James and Rita (Walsh); and his brother, James (Jean). He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Vincentia "Gee" (Termini); children Marianne Conroy (Anthony), Ronald (Bea), James, Caroline Henry (Jason); siblings, Jane Booton (George), Kevin (Susan), Brian (Barbara), Mary, and Dennis (Patricia); grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Caitlin, Brendan, Mackenzie, Ann, Ronald, Juliana, Mary, Lauren, and Samantha. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Pius X Church, 834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer, 415 Crossways Park Drive, Suite D, Woodbury, NY 11797.
