Alberta Zotack Baigent, age 71, formerly of, Connecticut, passed away in her home in New York City on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Born in Passaic, NJ on April 20, 1947, daughter of the late Albert and Catherine Kehler Zotack. Alberta was raised in Lordship, Connecticut and always considered it her forever home. Alberta lived in Syracuse, NY after graduate school, later moving to Stony Brook, NY with her family. Most recently Alberta resided in Manhattan. Alberta graduated Sweet Briar College, Class of '69, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and later she earned a Master's Degree in Personal Administration from Syracuse University. She worked for over 25 years as a senior legal recruiter for two international law firms before her retirement. Alberta enjoyed traveling but especially loved the times that she spent with family and friends vacationing on Block Island. Alberta was always happiest around the many dachshunds she owned over the years. A loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed. Survivors include her son, Philip Baigent and his fiancée Hali Devlin, of Montauk, NY; daughter Blair Gordon and her husband Dustin, of Upper Saddle River, NJ; her grandchildren Grace Gordon and Holden Baigent. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Jane Fredericks and former husband Peter Baigent. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, at 11am in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Bronson Rd., Fairfield, CT. There will be no prior calling hours.
